Nigel, I like where you are taking this. All the elements of the lab are setting the stage. Some things we spoke about in class as a whole is pushing the ideas as far as they can go, as well as bringing some obstalces actuall on to the course. Like how you have nails/screws in the setting, what happens if you bring them onto the golfing path. Just like the lights you have in the piece the nails should be of variuos sizes and widths as well. One thing that does catch my eye is that the steps span the whole lenght of the course. I would shorten their lenght so it doesn't feel like a player could walk right on to any part of the course. I'm glad you tried combining your ideations. The slot machine aspect feels a little out of place for this piece.

From here...I would take a day do some more ideations based on the previous comments. Post them, take it to in house, then paint.
