Hey Dela, Thank you for your previous direction It really seemed to help my thinking. Here I wanted to show my ideas for how the Machine arms could look and function. Also I wanted to explore the snakelike orbs that watch the player as a means of distraction. Then after coming up with a machine face I went ahead and tried out those Ideas in the layout I showed earlier. The first seemed to be too busy and impersonal, so I tried to scale it down overall and simplify the shapes. I appreciate any thoughts you have. Thanks, Jens
Jens, I like where you are going with this. The more machine face is working better. With the face it is not yet reading as a visual climax to the hole. Compare it's size and volume to the structure to the side of it, they are similar in size and almost feel like they are one mass. Don't forget to think of the silhouette, or how we spoke about a hierarchy of shapes. Does the head read in silhouette or is it to similar to the shape and size of the structures around it?
The snake-like orbs are an intresting idea, how do you imagine them distracting the player? Are you thinking they are obstacles to the course, or something in the background visually distracting?
From here. I think this one is getting close, try and add some of what was mentioned.
Aside form this one for the In house, which i think has a lot of aspects working for it, I want to see what you can do with another one that is less organic. What I mean is push the man vs machine really seperating the two. Based on some of the layouts and ideas you already have, show me less curves and more straights and more symmetry.
