Nigel Li. More ideations of golf course.

Hey Dela, thanks alot for the comments in class. I took what you said about focusing more on the actual course rather than props and characters. The course with Frankentstein will spit out the ball at you try to put. I know its kind of a straight shot, but I liked the idea of a simple shot, that is difficult at the end. The concept of the slot machine, you hit it into a black box, then it randomly spits it out to one of the lanes. The slot machine will then turn, and you have a chance to win a huge prize at the gift shop. I also really like the idea of the haunted house, there are cameras that will take your picture, and the picture is shown on the graves as you putt. You can also see pictures of other people who have played that course on the other graves. Any comments will be greatly appreciated. Is there anything here you think is working? Perhaps combining a few? Thanks again.

Nigel, I really like what you've come up with. Your really coming up with some great explorations based on the Halloween theme. You have a lot things working here. I like that you are thinking of the surrounding environment, with the graveyard. The Moat is a cool idea. The Frankenstein Monster one is working, Even though it is a straight path, making it ramp up does make it harder so that works fine with me. I would still like to see you push the elements around the path. Is the equipment form Frankenstein's lab around the outside edges, or an angry mob with torches?

The ideation with the clock tower is nice. For that one you have LCD screens in the windows, what if to push that idea you make the path up to the house LCD screens so you can have the ground under the player animated. I would like to see you combine that one with the grave yard you have.

Where I would like to see you go from here. Do some more ideations, push the Frankenstein, and Clock tower just for wednesday. Take a look at what Tim Burton did with Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride for how the environments were addressed. Also take a look at some "day of the dead" ref, see if that inspires anything.

Again I really like where you've come since Saturday, kkep it up.

Nigel I like the idea of the Moat piece. I think it's a great obstacle and visual. Right now I don't feel the same payoff that I'm starting to feel at the end like with the Frankenstein one. If you got time I could really see that being a nice piece if it is pushed further.
